As the Saddlers prepare for next weekend's meeting with Bradford City, club captain Adam Chambers has spoken to club journalists and has praised the progress his new teammates have made before looking ahead to the clash with the Bantams.

Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Adam said; “We had a lot of new players at the start of the season and it took a bit of time to gel. But in the past 10-15 games we’ve really shown what we’re capable of and how good a side we can be on our day.

"Bradford are in good form and in a good position in the table so it’ll be a difficult game, as it always is there. We’ve got to try to get the performance level back to where it should be and we’ll give ourselves a massive chance if we do that."

Adam then went on to look back at the Saddlers recent defeat to Southend United, where he admitted that the team need to 'put things right' this coming weekend, he said; "We were disappointed with how the game turned out against Southend after putting ourselves in such a good position. The first goal came from a quick free-kick and we could probably have stopped that at source. We needed to try to slow the game down and we came under quite a lot of pressure.

"But we’ve got to try to get over that now and we’re looking forward to the next game. We need to put things right."
