Walsall's Development Side in Central League Action Later Today

Walsall's development side will be back in action later today as John Ward's side prepare to take on Morecambe in the latest Central League fixture of the season.
Walsall's development side will be back in action later today as John Ward's side prepare to take on Morecambe in the latest Central League fixture of the season.

The Saddlers have enjoyed a superb Central League campaign so far, winning seven of their eight fixtures, including last week's 1-0 victory over Bradford City, record-signing Andreas Makris bagging the goal to keep his side at the top of the table.

Walsall, who are currently on a twelve-match winning streak in all competitions, defeated Morecambe by five-goals-to-nil in the recent reverse fixture and will be keen to repeat that performance later today.

Morecambe have won just one of their six Central League fixtures and will be keen to build upon last week's two-nil victory over Port Vale as they look to move away from the bottom of the table.

Today's match will take place at the Birmingham County FA's headquarters on Ray Hall Lane in Great Barr. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00pm, admission is free and we hope to have an update following the conclusion of the match.
