With Transfer Deadline Day just over a day away, Walsall manager Jon Whitney has spoken to the local press, and discussed his desire to add another new face to his rebuilt Saddlers squad, before admitting that highly sought after left-back Rico Henry could depart before the end of the transfer window.
Speaking via the Express & Star, Jon said; "Of course, we would like to get another one in but we will see if anyone goes out. Something is going to happen, I think, in the next couple of days. It always does and I will be ready for it.
"You never know. I know Rico has a lot of interest. I have to have a Plan B for everything because I am not going to have much time. I have issues I have to deal with and if something happens I will be ready to try and rectify it.
"Obviously there is still interest in some of my players and it is going to be a crazy, crazy merry-go-round for the next few days. I am expecting some late nights."
