Walsall's Rico Henry Left Out of England's Under 19s Championship Squad

England Under-19s Head Coach Aidy Boothroyd has named his 18-man squad for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship Finals which begin next week in Germany.
England Under-19s Head Coach Aidy Boothroyd has named his 18-man squad for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship Finals which begin next week in Germany.

Boothroyd selected his squad following three separate training camps, which took place at St. George’s Park in recent weeks, and the squad, which does not include Walsall's Rico Henry, will now reconvene on Friday to travel to Germany ahead of their Group B opener with France in Heidenheim on Tuesday, 12th July.

Following their opener, Boothroyd’s side will move on to face Holland on Friday, 15th July before facing Croatia on Monday, 18th July.

Birmingham-born Henry made a total of forty-four appearances for the Saddlers last season, and also made his England U19s debut in November 2015 as the young Lions took on the Netherlands and Japan in a friendlies double-header.
