Following the loan arrival of West Ham United midfielder George Dobson, Walsall Manager Jon Whitney has spoken to club journalists and welcomed the 18-year-old to the club.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Jon said; "George is someone we noticed a few months ago. We did our homework on him and spoke with West Ham. He’s held in really high regard and he’s a player who plays beyond his years.
"They brought him in from Arsenal where he played as a centre half but was moved forward to play as a holding midfielder - which is where we see him playing. I’m sure he’ll come in and really strengthen our team.
"I know he’ll go on to be a top player of the highest level and we’re lucky that West Ham have entrusted us with his development for the next 12 months. Age is not a factor. If he comes in and is good enough then he will play. He’s here to fight for a place in the team."
