Following the earlier news that that on-loan Middlesbrough midfielder Bryn Morris had returned to the Sky Bet Championship club after failing to make an impact at the Banks's Stadium, Walsall Interim Head Coach Jon Whitney has spoken to club journalists and praised the England U20s international, and wished him well for the future.

Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Jon said; “It’s unfortunate that Bryn didn’t get as much game time as he would have liked but it wasn’t through a lack of effort. He was a credit to himself and Middlesbrough throughout his time with us.

"Unfortunately circumstances just didn’t work in his favour during his time with the club and the players he was competing for a place with were in really good form.

“The philosophy of the club is to encourage our young players to progress and we had to consider our own youngsters which would have worked against Bryn.

“I’d like to place on record my thanks to Bryn for his hard work and commitment and wish him all the best for the future.”
