Walsall goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has spoken to the local press ahead of Saturday's League 1 meeting with Colchester United, and has discussed his desire to see his team go into the international break on the back of three wins.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Neil said; "We are very hard to break down and extremely hard to play against. We know when we should keep the ball and when to go longer.

“The defence has been fantastic and while we haven’t kept as many clean-sheets as we would have liked, the players in front of me have been spot on all season. That solid base gives licence to the other players to do what they are good at.

“We know the ability we have in our locker and Jon Whitney wants us playing with freedom, at a high intensity and in a way that is enjoyable for us and will also entertain the fans.

“After Colchester, it's the international break and we are determined to go into that on the back of three wins.”
