Police Make Four More Arrests Following Clashes Ahead of Blackpool Match

West Midlands Police's Football Unit have this weekend confirmed that a further four males have been arrested on suspicion of affray following a reported clash between football fans ahead of the Saddlers' Sky Bet League 1 clash with Blackpool, which took place at Banks's Stadium on Saturday, 23rd January.

West Midlands Police's Football Unit have this weekend confirmed that a further four males have been arrested on suspicion of affray following a reported clash between football fans ahead of the Saddlers' League 1 clash with Blackpool, which took place at Banks's Stadium on Saturday, 23rd January.

Speaking via Twitter, WMP confirmed; "On Thursday, officers from West Midlands Police's Football Unit arrested four males for their suspected involvement in disorder prior to Walsall v Blackpool on Saturday, 23rd January.

"The disorder occurred in a busy shopping centre in Walsall. The males have all been bailed. A FBO (Football Banning Order) will prevent you attending any football fixture, or travelling abroad for tournaments."

Anyone with information is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers the independent charity on 0800 555 111.
