ENGLAND STARTING XI | Gunn; Aina, Holgate, Cooper, Toffolo; Williams, Winks; Walker, Barker, Greenwood; Rashford

SUBSTITUTES | Smith; Bryan, Palmer, Fletcher, Morris

The young Lions started the game well but fell behind after thirteen minutes thanks to a fine edge-of-the-box effort by Vancouver Whitecaps defender Kadin Chung, his shot beating Manchester City prospect Angus Gunn in the England goal.

England continued to be the better side throughout the match, taking the majority of possession, shots and corners, but fell further behind with just over twenty minutes of the second half remaining as Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Marco Bustos slipped the ball home from the edge of the England area, a fine finish from the 19-year-old.

The hosts did manage to cut their opponents lead soon after as Chelsea's Kasey Palmer, who was a second-half substitute, finished a flowing attack as he slotted home from Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford's neat pass, the Manchester United striker had a fairly quiet game up until that point.

That is how the game ended, a disappointing result for Keith Downing's side in front 3,264 fans at the Keepmoat.
