Walsall defender Matt Preston has spoken to club journalists ahead of this weekend's top-of-the-table clash with Wigan Athletic, and has looked back at last weekend's draw with Crewe Alexandra, and discussed his overall performance.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Matt said; “I thought I played well. I’m always critical of myself and I like to analyse my performances and come back and try to do better next time.
“But it was good to play – I enjoyed it. Obviously Jim’s injury allowed me to play, but hopefully I can keep starting games.
"We feel the next two games are crucial to our season. If we play how we played against Crewe then I think we’ve got enough capability in the team to push on and win those games."
