Walsall Head Coach Sean O'Driscoll has spoken to the local press ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League 1 clash with Wigan Athletic, and has offered a brief injury update, with James O'Connor and Tom Bradshaw both being doubts.

Speaking via the Express & Star, Sean said; “He is the one who gets whacked more than anyone else and he has one or two bumps and bruises. We are wrapping him up in cotton wool. It is a balancing act, do you risk somebody? He (Tom) has trained very sparingly all week, he has not trained with the group.

“Tom is desperate to play, as is Jim. But we need him for the rest of the season and if it means resting him for one game to get him back for 13 or 14 others then common sense prevails."
