Earlier today, Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side returned to Football League Youth Alliance (North West) action as they travelled North and took on Blackpool Under 18s.

Blackpool opened the scoring after three minutes of play as Elliot Pond responded fastest to a blocked James Doyle effort to slot past Walsall 'keeper Dan Jezeph.

The hosts doubled their lead at the thirty minute mark as Macauley Wilson headed home from a Rowan Roache cross, a great ball in from the young prospect.

Walsall grabbed a goal back a few minutes later as Cameron Peters slotted home following a ball over the top of the Seasiders' defence.

Blackpool regained their two goal lead before the break as Sam Roscoe was alert to a Walsall clearance and immediately put the ball back into the box where Macauley Wilson was on hand to slam home.
