Walsall Football Club have today announced that former Saddlers midfielder Wayne Thomas is back at the Banks’s as the club’s new Commercial Manager.

Information released via Saddlers.co.uk confirms; The 37-year-old came through the Saddlers' youth system and made 38 league appearances for his hometown club between 1996 and 2000.

He later played for Mansfield Town, Shrewsbury Town, Hednesford United and Rushall Olympic before being forced to retire through injury.

After football, Wayne became a sales and fitness manager at a health club before moving into retail with local business Diffusion.

Wayne spent nine years with the company, becoming area manager of 13 G-Star stores, but jumped at the chance to return to Walsall FC earlier this month.
