Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk Wayne said; “It’s quite a surreal feeling to be back here. When I saw the opportunity to come back, I was really excited by it. The club has changed in lots of ways since I was here as a player; it has developed both on and off the field.
“There are a lot of commercial benefits for local and national businesses here at Walsall and it’s really exciting for me to be involved in this side of things, and hopefully I can develop it further. Logistically, we’re in a great location, just off the M6, with great links and the club’s on the up.
“The main aspect of my role will be developing different commercial opportunities. I will also be involved in matchday hospitality, and will use my football knowledge to hopefully create a unique experience for our sponsors. I’m really enjoying being back at the club.”
