Walsall Duo Linked With Wolves Switch - Local Journalist Responds

According to reports on the Mirror website, Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw and left-back Rico Henry have been the target of an approach from the Saddlers' near rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers as manager Kenny Jackett seeks to add to his squad.
According to reports on the Mirror website, Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw and left-back Rico Henry have been the target of an approach from the Saddlers' near rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers as manager Kenny Jackett seeks to add to his squad.

The Mirror's report, which was compiled by football writer Alex Richards, states; "Championship side Wolves have made an enquiry to near-neighbours Walsall over the availability of star duo Tom Bradshaw and Rico Henry.

"Bradshaw, 23, is into the final 18 months of his deal at the Bescot Stadium and has scored 14 goals in 29 games this term. He’s been linked with a host of Championship sides, notably Reading, and was called up by Chris Coleman to the senior Wales squad in November.

"Attacking full-back Henry, an England under-19 international, has been watched by a host of clubs this season - including a number from the Premier League - after impressing as Walsall have mounted a promotion push from League One."

Following the newspaper's publication of the rumour, the Express & Star's Wolves correspondent Tim Spiers took to Twitter and denied that any contact had been made, he said; "I'm told there's nothing in reports that Wolves are interested in Walsall pair Tom Bradshaw and Rico Henry."

Both Tom and Rico have been at the centre of much speculation over the past few weeks, and the buzz is showing no signs of subsiding ahead of Transfer Deadline Dy in a few days time.
