Earlier this evening, Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw was named among the substitutes for Wales' international friendly against the Netherlands, which took place at the Cardiff City Stadium.

The match was a scrappy affair, with much of the play in midfield, although both sides did engineer shots on goal, with lone striker Tom Lawrence often isolated against the Dutch defence.

The visiting side opened the scoring just after thirty minutes of play as Wolfsburg forward Bas Dost headed home following a cross from Newcastle United winger Daryl Janmaat, some sloppy defending from the hosts giving goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey little support as he failed to keep the ball out of the net.

Wales managed to get back on level terms on the stroke of half-time as Feyenoord defender Terence Kongolo was adjudged to have handles inside the area. Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen stepped up and saw his effort saved, but Crystal Palace midfielder Joe Ledley was alert to send the ball home, evening the scores at the break.

The Netherlands regained the lead around ten minutes after half-time, as Bayern Munich midfielder Arjen Robben went on a dangerous run down the wing, cut inside his man and sent a low shot past the goalkeeper from inside the area.

With twenty-minutes of the half remaining Wales once again levelled the scores, a corner was worked into the box and Wigan Athletic's on-loan Huddersfield Town striker Emyr Huws was on-hand to head the ball home.

Arjen Robben out his side back into the lead with under ten minutes remaining, a dangerous run capped off by a nice finish past goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams, who came on mid-way through the half to make his debut, despite being selected for several squads over the last six years.

Both sides made several changes as the second-half continued, but sadly Chris Coleman opted not to hand Tom Bradshaw his first senior cap as the Shrewsbury-born forward sat out the full ninety minutes.
