On Saturday morning, Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side travelled North to Greater Manchester as they took on Rochdale in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.
As has been the theme so far this season, the match was a highly competitive affair, with both sides having opportunities t open the scoring.
It was the hosts who grabbed the games' opening goal as attacking midfielder Brandon Smalley slotted home on the stroke of half-time.
Walsall levelled the game mid-way through the second half, as the young Saddlers were awarded a penalty, Maz Kouhyar stepped up and smashed the ball past Rochdale stopper Tom Dyche. A good point for both sides as the 2015/16 Alliance season continues.
