Following Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League 1, top-of-the-table clash between Walsall and Burton Albion, which the Saddlers won by two-goals-to-nil, manager Dean Smith spoke to the press and insisted that his side deserved the win.
Speaking via Saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; "It was a deserved win. We were excellent in the first half. We moved the ball well and looked really organised. Our organisation has been key for us. It has given us the platform to score goals and keep clean sheets.
“We’re 12 games in and we’ve only lost one game. We deserve a lot of credit for how we’re playing and the results we’ve had. We’ve had a lot of publicity for being where we are but we want to be there in May."
