Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League 1 clash with top-of-the-table Burton Albion, and has offered a brief update on the trial period of Manchester City defender Ellis Plummer.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said “Ellis has done well so far. He’s been training with us for a week. We are having a good look at him and he is having a good look at us.
“But he has done well so far and has made a good first impression. He is a lovely lad, has come in and done things the right way and been professional. On top of that he is a good player.”
