Walsall chairman Jeff Bonser appears to have ended his self-imposed exile from home games as he was spotted in attendance as the Saddlers held Oldham Athletic to a one-all draw on Saturday afternoon.

Following the game, which saw Romaine Sawyers' eighth minute opener cancelled out by a Jonathan Forte second half strike, Walsall manager Dean Smith spoke to the local press, and expressed his delight at the owner's return, but also insisted that there is "No big story in it".

Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “It’s great to see. He has been very supportive and I think everyone wants to see him back here. He is very supportive. He is a football fan and he wants to come and watch games. There is no big story in it.”
