Saddlers manager Dean Smith has spoken to the local press and insisted that his current squad is on a higher level than last season, with more players contributing in the goals department.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Smith said; “I keep looking over my shoulder and I have people who I know can go on and do a job. No disrespect to anybody but last season it wasn’t quite the level we are at this moment.
“We are sharing goals out as well which we didn’t do last season. That is a really good thing and you have to have building blocks in there.
“I have told everyone we have continuity at the club. People know what we are trying to do.”
