Coventry Telegraph, City manager Tony Mobray said; “He’s one of dozens of players that agents forward on to you but not one, as a staff, that we’ve sat and discussed at length or spoken to an agent about.”
Capped at England Under-19 level, Gobern spent a short time with Aston Villa before joining Southampton where he played 27 times and helped them to the League 1 title.
