Earlier this evening Walsall Football Club took on Stafford Town in the Quarter Final of this season's Walsall Senior Cup.

The Saddlers took the lead early on as the referee awarded a penalty for a trip in the box with just a five minutes gone, recently-returned Amadou Bakayoko converted the spot kick, giving Stafford's 'keeper little chance of making a save.

Walsall dominated proceedings and doubled their lead mid-way through the first half, Jordan Murphy joining Bakayoko in marking his loan return by scoring a goal, as the Saddlers edged closer to booking their place in the Semi Final.

The Saddlers further extended their lead a few minutes into the second half, defensive-winger Malvind Benning slotting home from the spot following another mis-timed tackle in the penalty area.

Former Stourbridge striker Jordan Murphy grabbed his second of the game as the clocked ticked down, the hosts unable to cope with the Saddlers' superior fitness.

Walsall continued their dominance as Amadou Bakayoko joined Murphy in the brace club, sending the ball past a helpless 'keeper with time quickly running out.
