Walsall Football Club left-back Andy Taylor has spoken to the press about the Saddlers' Johnstone's Paint Trophy, two-legged victory over Preston North End, and has discussed his hope that the extra eyes on the club will encourage more supporters to return to the terraces and cheer them on.

Speaking to the Express & Star, Andy said; “We’ve put the club on the map a little bit and hopefully it’ll encourage a few more to come down and watch us.

“As a player you want to play in front of good crowds – as soon as we ran out for the warm-up you could feel the atmosphere building.

“It was terrific, You get that buzz and if you can have it every week it would be brilliant.

“We don’t expect it every week, but if we could get a few more fans down here and get the atmosphere like it was – because it doesn’t half help you on the pitch – it would give us a massive boost.”
