Speaking to Matt Maher of the Express & Star, Smith confirmed that 22-year-old, Mantom, who has been restricted to just a handful of substitute appearances this campaign, had met with Surgeons and had a "scope", also known as a knee arthroscopy, on his troublesome knee earlier in the day.
