Preston North End defender Calum Woods has spoken to the local press ahead of this evening's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash, and has insisted that Preston’s visit to Walsall is far from mission impossible, as they look to overturn a two-goal deficit and book a visit to Wembley.

Speaking to the Lancashire Evening Post, Calum said; “It is all to play for. Being 2-0 down from the first leg, we have a lot to do but hopefully we can put in a good display and get the result we want.

“We know we have to go there and score twice at least and I think it will be an exciting night. When you look back at the first leg, we had a few chances to score early in the game which could have killed it off then.

“Unfortunately we did not take those chances and then Walsall scored two goals late on to win it. It is a big challenge ahead of us but we are determined to try and turn it around. We can go with a certain freedom and see what happens.

“An early goal would be nice but if we have to wait longer to score, we’ll have to do that. There is still a job at the back to do because while all the talk is of us trying to score, we don’t want them adding to their lead.

“At times we will have to be patient and I'm sure goals will come if we play well. There will be plenty of our fans there, just like there has been for all our away games this season.

“They will be playing their part in helping us to try and get through.”
