On Saturday morning Walsall Football Club's Under 18s side made the trip North to take on Wrexham's Under 18s in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.
The Young Saddlers arrived at the game in third place in the league and on the back of a 1-1 draw with Preston North End, whilst Wrexham, who went into this game tenth place, defeated Oldham Athletic's Under 18s during their most recent outing, last weekend.
It was Walsall who emerged victorious during this occasion, defeating the Young Dragons by three goals to one. Nathan Owen, Tevin Shakespeare and Luke Delaney all hitting the back of the net for the Saddlers as they swept their opponents aside.
