Walsall manager Dean Smith has spoken to the club's official website following Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League One draw with Peterborough United, and has praised his side for yet another solid display.

Speaking to saddlers.co.uk, Smith said; "I thought we were excellent, to be honest, and all that was missing was a goal. I'm really pleased with the performance levels that we are showing now and I feel that we are getting better all of the time. Today we got into the positions, which is encouraging, and could have had three or four.

"We can take plenty of heart from the fact that we were so dominant against a team like Peterborough. You have to give them credit for the way that they defended, but we also looked solid defensively and its another clean sheet and another game unbeaten.

"The momentum is building and whilst we may feel like it's two points dropped, there is plenty for us to be positive about."
