Walsall Football Club manager Dean Smith has spoken to the club's official website ahead of this weekend's Sky Bet League One clash with Peterborough United, and has called on the supporters to get behind the players as they seek to continue their good run of form.

Speaking to saddlers.co.uk, Dean said; "The lads are playing with a lot of confidence right now. Our performance levels over the past five or six games have been very good and we need to ensure that this continues.

"Peterborough United won in the FA Cup last weekend, which should give them a bit of confidence following three successive League defeats, all against clubs in the lower reaches of the table, proving that anyone can beat each other.

"That said, they have some good players in their team and, just like last season, they are in amongst the leading pack.

"It's a third home game in the space of a week for us and we are really looking forward to it. Please get behind the lads as you have done throughout the season so far."
