PRESSLEY TO COMPLAIN ABOUT PENALTY DECISION

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley last night revealed that he is to complain to the Football League after City striker Gary Madine looked to have been hauled down inside the Walsall area during Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League One clash between the Saddlers and Sky Blues.
Coventry City manager Steven Pressley last night revealed that he is to complain to the Football League after City striker Gary Madine looked to have been hauled down inside the Walsall area during Saturday afternoon's Sky Bet League One clash between the Saddlers and Sky Blues.

Walsall left-back Andy Taylor clashed with Madine after around twenty-five minutes of the first half, however referee Richard Clark deemed the challenge to be fair, and allowed play to continue, much to the bemusement of the City bench.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Pressley said; “As to the penalty, again we didn't get the call. I received the letter this week saying that our last claim was a penalty but that’s numerous times this season we've been on the end of wrong decisions.

“We’ll put this one into the authorities and we’ll probably get the same thing back – yes, it should have been a penalty – but it doesn’t make a difference to us just now.”
