Earlier this morning, Walsall's Under 18s side played host to Tranmere Rovers in the latest Football League Youth Alliance (North West) fixture of the season.

The Saddlers, who suffered their first defeat of the season way to Oldham Athletic last weekend, were defeated 2-0 by the travelling side, thanks to goals from Lewis Moynes and Ben Jago.

The win now puts Rovers just a point behind Walsall in the league, with both sides having played ten games.
