Walsall Football Club have been dealt a blow in their fight for compensation, following the transfer of Will Grigg to Brentford.
The Saddlers will now have to wait until atleast the end of August before the panel will meet, after the scheduled trip to Griffin Park.
Walsall manager Dean Smith told the Express & Star "I believe the tribunal will now be after we have played them, which is a bit weird. They will still owe us money for one of our players – and he can play against us."
He continued "The funds are there should we need to add anyone, but unfortunately it looks like being bolstered by the money for Will in September, after the window closes. It’s frustrating but it is what it is."
