According to reports Walsall starlet Jamie Paterson is the target of npower League One promotion hopefuls Sheffield United.

Sky Sports believe the Bramall Lane outfit have been tracking the 21-year-old Coventry born winger, whose current Walsall contract runs until July 2014, for some time and are ready to move in on him over the coming weeks.

Walsall are famed amongst supporters for selling their assets following departures of Scott Dann, Anthony Gerrard, Troy Deeney and Matty Fryatt, it will be interesting to see if The Saddlers manage to keep hold of 'Pato' as the potential offers come in.
