Walsall defender Stan Straw started as Redditch United took on Peterborough Sports in the Southern League - Premier Central Division on Tuesday evening.
Joining Redditch on an initial one-month youth loan earlier in the day, Stan went straight into Jimmy Fry's starting eleven for the clash at Lincoln Road.
Taking place under the lights, the match was a hard-fought affair that ultimately saw the spoils shared as four goals were scored, but no lead was held.
Redditch opened the scoring with ten minutes on the clock when Tyler Bruck struck the ball into the back of Thomas Jackson's net, but Bruck's goal was eventually cancelled out in the second-half.
Taking place around seven minutes into the second forty-five, Saddler Straw was penalised for a foul inside the area, which led to Michael Richens firing the ball home from the spot.
Looking to bounce back from their penalty disappointment, Redditch were swiftly back in the lead a few minutes later when Joel Shambrook unleashed a powerful effort from distance.
However, parity was restored in second-half stoppage time when Harvey Williams fired home to secure a point for each side.
Stan played for the full match, and will be keen to make amends when his short-term side return to action at the weekend.
