Walsall midfielder Courtney Clarke was named in the starting XI as Jamaica took on El Salvador in their latest CONCACAF Nations League - Group A outing of the ongoing international break.After beginning the first two games on the bench, Courtney was afforded more match minutes as Jamaica were looking to bounce back from their recent defeat to Honduras.
Taking place at Estadio Cuscatlán in San Salvador, the momentum looked to be leaning towards the Reggae Boys midway through the first half when El Salvador defender Rudy Clavel was shown a straight red card.
And, after playing almost twenty minutes with a one-man advantage, they were finally able to take the lead when Hapoel Be'er Sheva striker Javon East arrived a the back post to strike the ball into Mario González's net.
Jamaica added to their lead in the second half when East grabbed his and the Reggae Boys' second of the contest eighteen minutes into the second half, with that goal proving to be enough to secure all three points.
Courtney, who played for the full ninety minutes, and his teammates will next be in action on Monday as they take on Honduras in their final game of the international window.
