Walsall's Sky Bet League Two campaign resumed on Saturday afternoon as they travelled north to Prenton Park and took on Tranmere Rovers.
The opening goal of the game didn't arrive until the second forty-five when on-loan Doncaster Rovers defender Bobby Faulkner scored his first goal in a Tranmere shirt as his header went beyond Jed Ward and into the back of the net.
The Saddlers battled to defend their unbeaten start to the season, and were ultimately able to rescue a point when substitute Will Etheridge played the ball into Reece Smith, who sent a low effort into the back of the Tranmere Rovers net.
