Walsall goalkeeper Jenson Kilroy made his Malvern Town debut on Tuesday evening and helped the side secure their first win in eight Southern League - Premier South games.
Joining the team on Monday afternoon, Jenson went straight into the starting line-up as they played host to Gloucester City at Langland Stadium, with the Hillsiders looking to reverse a run of form that had seen them lose five and draw two of their opening seven league games.
Falling behind to a Joe Hanks after twenty minutes of play, Malvern were able to level the score via Harry Clark just six minutes into the second forty-five.
Parity only lasted a few minutes, however, as Kian Hill soon got the better of Jenson to put his side back into the lead, a lead that looked pretty unstable given Gloucester had been reduced to ten men earlier in the contest.
And, in a second half to remember, Malvern went on to make the most of their man advantage as goals from Ben Baxter, who saw an effort deflect into the back of the net, Joe Bullock, Luke Payne, and Matt Fulloway, saw them secure their first ever in at Step 3.
