We are saddened to learn that former Walsall winger David McDermott has died at the age of 38.Born in Stourbridge on Saturday, 6th February 1988, David progressed through the ranks in WS1 to become the club's youngest-ever league debutant when he was named as a substitute for the Saddlers' League Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday in August 2004.
Leaving the Bescot in the summer of 2008, David went on to play for the likes of Kidderminster Harriers, York City, AFC Telford United, Stourbridge, Rushall Olympic, and Worcester City, making over 100 appearances along the way.
We would like to offer our deepest sympathies and condolences to David's family and friends at this most difficult time.
