Courtney Clarke Plays Key Role as Jamaica Begin With a Win

Courtney Clarke played a key role as Jamaica faced Guatemala in the CONCACAF Nations League.
Bescot Banter - Walsall FC NewsWalsall midfielder Courtney Clarke was named on the bench as Jamaica took on Guatemala in their opening CONCACAF Nations League Group A game of the competition.

The match was a competitive affair that saw five goals scored, the first of which went to Guatemala as on-loan OPMM midfielder Óscar Santis put the ball into Andre Blake's goal with just two minutes played.

The Reggae Boys were ultimately able to level the scores later in the half when Luton Town attacker Kasey Palmer fired home, only for Santis to grab his second of the game midway through the second half.

St Kitts continued to search for more and went on to level the scores via Wrexham forward Bailey Cadamarteri some eighteen minutes from time, but the goalscoring didn't end there.

Despite having to settle for a place on the bench until twenty minutes into the second half, Courtney played a major role in the outcome of the contest as he provided an assist to Qarabağ winger Renaldo Cephas as Jamaica secured the win and the points.
