Youth Alliance Cup: Notts County 0 Walsall 1

The young Saddlers' campaign continued on Tuesday as they made the short trip to Nottinghamshire.
Walsall Under-18s were back in action on Tuesday evening as they made their way to Nottinghamshire and took on Notts County Under-18s in the opening round of the EFL Youth Alliance Cup.

Heading into the game on the back of a disappointing 5-1 league defeat to Bradford City, a match that saw the Bantams score three penalties on the way to an annoyingly comfortable win, the young Saddlers were looking to get back to winning ways.

WALSALL
Fraser Hamilton-Wright; Ellis Harris, Levi Wain, Jude Worrall, Sam Oliver, Finley Batham, Zion Tuitt, Archie Bunn, Oliver Nash, Ethan Khan, Jaden Kandemiri
Subs: Riley Clowes-Elson; Younusa Kanyi, Lincoln Hunt, Samuel Griffiths, Joshua Jarman

There was just one goal scored on a balmy evening in Nottinghamshire, and it went the way of the Saddlers when Ellis Harris struck in the second-half, sending his side through to the next round of the competition.
