Walsall boss Lee Grant admitted he is open to adding more players to his squad, despite already securing twelve signings this summer.With fourteen players departing ahead of the new campaign, Grant was keen to build a strong squad and is satisfied he has been able to achieve his goals, but won't rule out making more moves should someone become available.
Speaking to Express & Star journalist George Bennett, Grant was asked whether his transfer interest has come to an end; he said: "No not really - I’ll never say never because, like most managers, you’re never satisfied.
"Twelve bodies in sounds a lot, but we’re no different to anybody else. If you look outside the Championship in League One and League Two, the turnover of players is huge.
"We’ve got fourteen bodies out of the door in the summer and twelve more in. Is there potential for movement in either direction?
"The answer is possibly, but we’ve done an awful lot of work to this point.
"I’d like to think if there was something available to us and is within our budget, if we’ve got anything left, that would significantly help the group, then the football club would really consider that. If we can’t, or there isn’t, then no problem."
