Alex Pattison Facing a Spell on the Sidelines

The Saddlers have been dealt a major injury blow as Alex Pattison is facing an extended period out if action.

Walsall boss Lee Grant has issued an update confirming that midfielder Alex Pattison is facing a spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury during the Saddlers' pre-season defeat to AFC Telford United.

Speaking to the media shortly after the Saddlers held Notts County to a goalless draw in a pre-season friendly on Saturday afternoon, Grant confirmed that Pattison had undergone a scan on his hamstring. He is likely to miss the opening few months of the season.

Grant said; "We’re going to be without Patto for a longer period, which is a real shame. Scan results are in. We’re likely to not see him for next couple of months.

 

"A disappointing one for all of us, but no doubt he will do the work between now and then to bring himself back in a good place and hopefully ready to make a positive impact on the group."
