Walsall Under-18s' pre-season trip to Scotland continued on Saturday afternoon as they took on Kilmarnock Under-19s.After defeating Queen of the South Under-19s 2-1 in midweek, the young Saddlers were full of confidence, and keen to add more momentum ahead of what will be a busy 2026/27 campaign.

The match was a low scoring affair with just an 18th minute effort from the hosts to separate the two sides across a ninety minutes that saw a host of substitutions as the managers sought to build fitness on a warm afternoon.
Walsall did have an opportunity to level the scores within the final stages of the match when they were awarded a penalty, but substitute Zion Tuitt was unable to capitalise as the young Saddlers fell to a narrow defeat.
