Walsall were back in Sky Bet League Two action on Saturday afternoon as they made their way to the Copperjax Community Stadium and took on league champions Bromley in their final game of the season.
The opening goal of the contest went the way of the home side when Ben Thompson broke inside of his marker Daniel Kanu to unleash an effort into the back of the net, taking the Ravens closer to the League Two title.
Bromley's second goal of the contest arrived as the match reached the hour mark and was almost a carbon copy of their first when Mitch Pinnock broke in from the wing before sending a fairly tame effort past Myles Roberts; the on-loan Watford stopper will probably think he could've done better.
Walsall didn't allow their heads to drop and were soon back to within a goal of their opponents when Jid Okeke, who had replaced an injured Harrison Burke in the fiest-half, capped off a swift attacking move to tap the ball over the line.
Bromley re-established their two-goal lead five minutes later when Omar Sowunmi was afforded too much room inside the area as he headed the ball home from a corner.
