Derby County Release Daniel Cox

The former Walsall loanee will be searching for a new club this summer.

Former Walsall loanee Daniel Cox has been released by parent club Derby County following the conclusion of the 2025/26 campaign.

Cox, a Wales Under-21 International, joined the Saddlers on a season-long loan in the summer of 2025 but made just seven first-team appearances before being recalled by his parent club the following January.

A brief switch to Wealdstone was followed up by a more successful loan to Solihull Moors before Cox returned to the Rams at the end of the season.

Derby County can confirm the club has submitted its retained list following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season. ℹ️
