Walsall were back in action on Saturday afternoon as they took on Cheltenham Town in what was the Saddlers' penultimate home game of the 2025/26 Sky Bet League Two campaign.
The opening goal didn't arrive until the second half when Harry Ashfield slotted the ball beyond Myles Roberts after being found in space by Jordan Thomas.
Cheltenham were soon two goals ahead as Isaac Hutchinson scored against his former side with a well-taken finish from inside the area.
The visitors' third goal of the afternoon was also scored by a former Saddler as George Miller added to his former teams' woes with another goal from inside the Walsall penalty area.
Walsall went on to concede a fourth in second-half stoppage time when Josh Martin, assisted by one of the Robins' many former Saddlers, George Nurse, made matters worse.
