Walsall's on-loan Stockport County defender Jid Okeke has agreed terms on a pre-contract with German 3. Liga club SV Waldhof Mannheim.21-year-old Okeke has made 27 first-team appearances across two loan spells at the Pallet-Track Bescot Stadium, his first goal for the Saddlers coming in an EFL Trophy clash against Shrewsbury Town.
Born in Ahaus, Germany, in November 2004, Jid began his career with FC St Pauli before joining Oldham Athletic in 2018 at the age of 13.
Spending time on loan at Stalybridge Celtic, he moved to Stockport County in 2023 and went on to enjoy loan spells with Chester, Hereford, South Shields, and Rochdale, where he spent much of the 2024/25 campaign.
