Statistics, first published by the Football Association, confirm that Walsall spent £104,739 on intermediary fees between 4th February 2025 and 2nd February 2026, down over £41,000 when compared to the previous reporting period.Including the last two transfer windows, clubs in Sky Bet League Two as a whole spent £2,613,332 (£2,740,669 24/35) on fees, with eight clubs spending more than the Saddlers.
Clubs in the Championship stumped up a total of £69,665,489 (2024/25 - £63,201,447) to agents and intermediaries, whilst sides in League One spent a total of £14,041,489 (2024/25 - £7,582,827 in a bid to secure their new signings.
Unsurprisingly, the EFL pales in comparison to the Premier League, with clubs in the top flight splashing out £460,300,308 (2024/25 - £409,137,387), with teams such as Chelsea (£65,102,247) and Aston Villa (£38,444,289) sparing no expense.
In total, clubs across the Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two and the National League spent £547,795,168 on fees.
