Walsall were back in Sky Bet League Two action on Saturday afternoon as they visited the JobServe Community Stadium and took on Colchester United.
The Saddlers grabbed the second goal of the game midway through the second half when Harrison Burke was alert to a loose ball after Mason Hancock saw a free-kick parried across goal.
Colchester wasted little time in levelling the scores when Harry Anderson crashed the ball home with a header from a well-placed corner kick.
