Looking to earn their first win in seven league games, the Saddlers had a comeback draw with Grimsby Town to build upon.
The first goal of the game didn't arrive until the thirty-minute mark when the visitors happily took advantage of some poor Walsall defending, with Rushian Hepburn-Murphy scoring the eventual goal.
The visitors grabbed their second of the match with six minutes of the second half remaining when Jon Mellish slammed the ball into the back of the net as the Saddlers' slump continues.
